How Did I Miss This?
Well, somehow I missed reading "The Lessons of Classroom 506," from September 12, 2004's New York Times Magazine. If you haven't read this story about a boy with cerebral palsy going to kindergarten in a New York City public school, do so now.

Once you try to create a "template" for children like mine, it defeats the whole purpose of having an individualized education plan. I give a lot of credit to the parents, but in general, what works for their child, might not work for others.
